How does DroneAid work?
- Collecting materials: With your donation, we can buy drone parts for the workshops in bulk and negotiate discounts with suppliers.
- Workshops: Participants learn essential skills such as electronics basics and soldering during the workshops, empowering displaced Ukrainians with hands-on drone building experiences.
- A second life: After completion, the drones are donated to support the Ukrainian Armed Forces in surveillance, reconnaissance, and other missions.
Why build drones?
Drones play an important role in Ukraine's defense against russian aggression. By building drones in the Netherlands with displaced Ukrainians, DroneAid contributes to capactiy building and skill-building for Ukrainian refugees, as well as helping Ukraine on its path towards freedom.
Can I join a drone building workshop?
We prioritize displaced Ukrainians to participate in the workshops, but we also have a few spots to reward you as a donor. If you made a donation to our project, you can sign up by filling in the form here and we will contact you when a spot opens.
Where do the workshops take place?
Our first workshops were organized in Rotterdam and Zaandam. But as we collect more donations, we plan to organize workshops in other locations in the Netherlands as well.
How is my donation used?
100% of your donation will be used to buy drone parts for the workshops. DroneAid is run by volunteers, so we have no overhead or other invisible costs.
Who is behind this?
We are a group of volunteers who are currently all living in the Netherlands. To collect donations, we currently work together with Eyes on Ukraine, a non-profit organization (ANBI) from the Netherlands that supports buys drones and humanitarian aid for Ukraine
